Readings for diligence, reputation and branding firms
Advisers use our readings inside their own work, delivered under their name or ours. Each kind of firm gets a reading built for the decision it is advising on.
For diligence firms: the headroom
An AI exposure reading adds a section on AI and search to a commercial due diligence report. The question a buyer has is how much room the target has to grow in AI visibility. The reading shows, need by need, how often the target is named against the category leader, which facts are incorrect, and whether the target is cited without being named, which for a B2B target is often the main finding. The gaps are the opportunities. Fixed price, on your timetable, and the answers come with it so your team can check the reading.
For reputation firms: the topics around a person
A reputation reading shows what AI models say about a client company and its public leaders, or about a public figure the firm represents. It lists the topics the models associate with the person, the tone of each topic, which facts are incorrect and which sources they come from. We measure and report, and changing the sources stays with you. The dated record then shows whether a correction held, which is the evidence a client asks for later.
For branding firms: preferred, or only considered
A reading before and after a rebrand or repositioning shows whether the models have taken on the new definition of the brand and where the old one still shows. Two charts matter most. The first shows whether the brand is the one the models prefer, or only one of the names they consider. The second shows which topics in the category have a clear leader and which are still contested, which is where a new territory can be won.
Every incorrect fact is traced to its source
When an AI model states a fact that is incorrect, the reading shows which pages the model drew on, and where we can we identify the content that influences an answer. That is the list a reputation or branding team works from, and it is the reason a reading is a plan rather than a score.
We read companies, their public leaders and public figures. Readings of private individuals are outside what we do.
Questions advisers ask us
Can an AI visibility reading be white-labelled in our own report?
Yes. Many advisers present the reading as a white-labelled section of their own report, with the method noted. Others name us. Either way the answers the reading was built on come with it.
How quickly can Model Research turn round an AI visibility reading based on prompts?
A first reading of one company and its rivals takes two weeks from the brief, because the models are asked over several days to get a range. A repeat reading is faster, because the questions already exist.
Why does cited but not named matter so much in diligence?
Because it is the most common way a B2B company is invisible. The models use its pages and still name a rival. A buyer wants to know whether the target owns its subject in the answer, and this is the measure that says so.
